I agree that you shouldn’t call a person “people,” as that’s the plural term. If you apply it to a fat guy, you can really make him mad, but that doesn’t matter since you can easily outrun him.
When Mr. Perot was running for president, I was working at an otology office. We had a huge model ear we used to show anatomy. We named it H. Ross.
