This reminds me of the year my father bought my mom a set of pots and pans for xmas. The only thing that could have been worse would have been if it had been their anniversary.

Not really greed, gift cards generally mean putting little thought into a gift. I’d rather have something homemade and/or cheap if someone put some thought into the gift rather than a more expensive gift card. I’d be mad as heck too!

I have not use my gift card for a year since my sister gave me for Xmas last year. LOLs! But some time I will use it to buy something for myself. :-)

If you’re gonna give someone a gift card, you might as well give it to them in Cash with a Christmas Card. That way it never expires and it can be used anywhere.

Gweedo Murray says: I hope that gift card doesn’t have an expiration Wildmustang as I think some do. I know what you mean but I doubt that my “old” gift card had expired or not. I will have to check on it before I use it. If I have to pay the cash with gift card, that will be fine with me. :-)

Watch those gift cards this year especially. Some stores will be going under, but will continue to sell gift cards until the bitter end.

That sounds like the year my Mother got a vacuum cleaner for Christmas. Christmas wasn’t too merry.

I don’t know. I think a gift card can be great. The person can get what they really want. No exchanges, wrong sizes, colours etc.
