(note: that would only be because the phone happened to come programmed with it, as Jon is way too dumb to change them).

By the phone’s classic design, I’d guess it doesn’t have a ring tone; it has a bell! Remember, Jon is usually behind the times. Think of his suits, if you haven’t eaten lately, and you’ll see what I mean.

Today’s phone is even uglier than yesterday’s. Does he have a different colored phone for every day?

Maybe the colour of the phone reflects Jon’s moods. I just can’t think what yellow would indicate.

Sheesshhh! That ringing phone startles Garfield very louder and lands on Jon’s head. Poor thing on Garfield! I feel the same thing when the phone rings too loud that causes me jumpy or startling. I hate it. I tried to turn the volume down on bottom of the phone but it didn’t work at all. Sighhh! I picked the phone and slammed on the phone or I sometimes unplugged from the phone so no one will bother calling me directly.

pookid, Garfield is a cat–and like all cats, “Daltonian” colour-blind. So, he can’t see how loud Jon’s suits are.

(ah, that might be explanation: Jon takes fashion advice from Garfield or equally colour-blind Odie)
