    Son of Sam?

Is he talking about David Berkowitz*? Not a mailman, as far as I can tell. He did mail something once…

Um… your link says, “At the time of his arrest, he was employed by the US Postal System.” I guess you didn’t read far enough, Betterthanyou.

There is a reason for the term called “going postal.”

The term “going postal” was coined for the mailmen that were killing their former coworkers after being fired(late 80’s and early 90’s). The more interesting phenomenon is the fact that every one of them tried to get into at least two branches of the military and were denied for psychological reasons. Once this connection was found the USPS started asking the military about all postal applicants and it hasn’t happened since.

    Guilty as charged. :)

I just did a find for “mail”, and all I found was that he once “mailed a book about witchcraft and other occult subjects to police in North Dakota”.
