Poncho: What gets tar out? Boomer: I think peanut butter. Poncho: I'm just going to be honest here. IF we get any peanut butter, I'm going to eat it. I won't want to. I will want to use it to help you. But the dog inside me will make me eat that peanut butter. I know that... and I'm sorry. Boomer: I think margarine also works. Poncho: Eat. Dog. Sorry.

Removing tar from dog hair is going to be a task that I am glad is not facing me.

Don’t try to remove the tar from the hair. Just wait a few days until the hair grows a little and give him a hair cut at the skin line. It’ll grow back.

It’s easy…. Just draw him without tar….

I’m with you Cleo. I’m like that when I see a mess on TV or in someone’s house. I’m glad it’s not my responsibility to clean it up.

Shave him, he deserves it after a bonehead stunt like that!!
WoodEye about 15 years ago
Hey. He’s a dog, most of them just roll around in … eerr… crap!

Try Dawn dishwashing liquid; it works on oil and grease.

I think you’re supposed to use WD 40 before you use the Dawn. I would just shave it all off. Live and learn, Poo Poo!
maxita about 15 years ago
I think it wouldn’t be the first time Poo Poo has been shaved, am I remembering correctly?

Baby oil works on tar (at least tar on your feet, acquired at a beach). But that would make him smell all girly again!
