A regular lil ol' roughneck!"<BR><BR> He sits next to her and concludes,"The only trouble is I'm not strong enough!"<BR><BR>

Charlie Brown wants to be a roughneck, eh? It looks like in panel three he’s playing air guitar. Perhaps he’s imagining himself to be Ted Nugent. Could be Ted lives down the street and Charlie has met him. Charlie is 4-years-old. It’s January 1951 and so Ted is age 2.
I’m just trying to make this cartoon more interesting. I mean it’s actually pretty flat at the end, isn’t it? Half-baked.
But hey. They can’t all be gems.

I never was either in my childhood. So, at 17, fresh out of high school, I joined the Marine Corps to try and change things. And it worked. Now, here I am at 75yo, and I find myself right back where I started. Oh well, got a few good years in.
