Shermy, holding a baseball bat, stands talking to Charlie Brown, who is wearing a baseball mitt. The former says,"You can't be on the team until you get a shirt with a sponsor's name on it" Charlie Brown replies,"Rats"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown walks along, kicking his mitt. He wonders,"Who'd ever want to sponsor me?!" "Rats!"<BR><BR> He stops, looks at the reader, and says,"Unless..." "Why not?"<BR><BR> He runs along, mitt in hand, and wearing a shirt that reads,'Violet's Mud Pies'. He shouts,"O.K., start the game!!"<BR><BR>

Second appearance of baseball caps. First time (March 6) they fit snugly; now CB’s is loose. In later years, of course, they are grossly oversized.
