A sitting Patty agrees,"Yeah, scram!"<BR><BR> Violet sits down and says,"Maybe we were too hard on him" Patty replies,"I'll go call him"<BR><BR> She walks over to the open door saying,"Come back, Charlie Brown!...We're sorry..we didn't mean it!"<BR><BR> She turns around as he sticks his head out from behind the door and says,"I didn't think you did!"<BR><BR>

The early Charlie Brown had an impish quality that I find quite appealing and which was lost relatively early in the strip’s history as he became increasingly depressed.
