He says, "Gee, everybody can skate better than I can..."<BR><BR> He watches as Violet and Patty skate by and continues, "Even Patty and Violet..look at them go...it's so discouraging."<BR><BR> He exclaims as Snoopy goes skating by.<BR><BR> He tosses his skates, walks off, and says, "That did it!"<BR><BR>

Later depictions of Snoopy skating show him without skates at all, and bipedal to boot.

I sometimes think that these earlier versions of the comic are better than the later ones.

It is clear that by the time he started coaching Peppermint Patty, Snoopy had many years of skating experience.
