He says, "Y'know, I'll bet if I were to disappear tomorrow, nobody would miss me!"<br> <br> Lucy says, "Oh, I don't think that's true, Charlie Brown.." He asks, "You don't?"<br> <br> She replies, "No, I don't think that's strictly true at all..."<br> <br> She concludes, "Even if you were to disappear Today, nobody would miss you!" Charlie Brown looks in embarassment at the reader.<br> <br>

Besides being rude, Lucy is being illogical. Saying that Panel 1 statement is not true means that someone would miss CB if he disappeared tomorrow. It does not mean that he would not be missed on some other day. Her claim in Panel 4, be it true or false, has no bearing on the validify of the claim in Panel 1.
