This is the first appearance of 5’s two younger sisters, 3 and 4. (Charlie Brown believed that those were nice feminine names.) These two characters rarely made other appearances, and most of them were in movie theater lines. The two characters were featured in “A Charlie Brown Christmas”; they were seen in the famous dancing scene.

I had a few Peanuts books when I was a kid but don’t remember ever seeing this strip. It was probably left out of the collection (a few strips were).
I remember their brother Number 5 but always wondered who these twin girls were. This finally solves a decades-old mystery (for me).
