Charlie Brown reads a piece of paper and says, "Very interesting." Linus says, "What's very interesting?"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown says, "Listen . . . These are words to parents from Dr. Horwich . . ."<BR><BR> Charlie Brown reads, "'If homework is to beneficial to a child, it should not consist of assignments imposed as a punishment for behavior totally unrelated to the work assigned.'"<BR><BR> Linus raises a fist in the air and says, "That's good thinking, Dr. Horwich, you're a gem!"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown continues, "'The child who is tardy in arriving at school, ahould not have to read an extra twenty pages at home as punishment for such behavior . . .'" Linus raises his hand and says, "That's what I say!"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown reads, "'Children in elementary schools should not be given assignments all of which combined will take longer than one hour to complete.'" Linus points a finger in the air and says, "Hear! Hear!"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown says, "'The child should not be asked to spend the entire time between dinner and bedtime doing homework.'" Linus pounds his fist on the table and says, "Amen! How right can you get?"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown reads, "'Whenever there is homework there must be a three member team . . . the teacher, the child and the parent.'" Linus says, "I fully agree."<BR><BR> Charlie Brown flips backward as Linus shouts, "Let the principal keep out of it!"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown lies on the ground and says, "It's not often that a person gets the chance to read to someone who shows such enthusiasm!"<BR><BR>
