Linus sure had that right. In 2014 there’s a helluva lot more countries than there is in 1964.

So he put in countries with names like Bangladesh (1971), Kyrgzstan (1991), Tajikistan (1991), East Timor (2002), Turkmenistan (1991), Belarus (1991), Bosnia and Herzegovina (1992), Croatia (1991), the Czech Republic (1993), Slovakia (1993), Macedonia (1991), Montenegro (2007), Ukraine (1991), Serbia (2006), Eritrea (1993), Namibia (1990), Lithuania (1990), Brunei (1984), Zimbabwe (1980), Yemen (1967), and Malta (Sept. 21, 1964, only a few days after the strip!).
