Lucy stands over Linus, who sits on the floor sucking his thumb. She says, "You and that stupid blanket!"<BR><BR> "If I were your mother, I'd snatch it away from you, and throw it in the trash burner!" She raises his arms.<BR><BR> He watches as she walks away.<BR><BR> "'The Tactics of Extremism.'" Linus goes back to sucking his thumb.<BR><BR>

Well, seems Lucy might as well have carried out her threat, anyway—to snatch Linus’ blanket and throw it in the trash burner, so it would be gone forever—at that VERY MOMENT. Because, don’t forget, there was also the time their grandma had agreed to quit smoking, which Linus did not think Grandma would ever do, and thus,in the end, Lucy almost DID have Linus’ blanket come to a TRAGIC END, but he saved it at the last minute.
