I realize that Lucy is supposed to be a comic character, same as everyone else. But the more I see her, the less funny she gets. Since her introduction, she’s been engaged in a vigorous campaign of harassment against Charlie Brown.
In the past, I have been unsympathetic to Charlie Brown for his persistent doubts and self-loathing. But with Lucy around, constantly putting him down, is it any wonder that he has these insecurities?
