They don’t make license plates in prison any more – it benefited the public. Now prisoners are rented out to private industry to depress wages of honest folk – just like Scarlett did in Gone With The Wind.

The People’s Party platform of 1892 had a plank about outlawing “the contracting of prison labor” for this reason. We are going backward fast. They should have made it, “seal the loophole in the 13th amendment” that permits this.

You do want to hear it on a first date, so you won’t hear it on any later dates.

This exact idea was already used in the comic strip “Loose Parts” back in November or December of last year. Plagerism isn’t cool, bro.

I must have missed it the first time around. Agree on the plagerism thing, but glad I didn’t miss it this time, got a chuckle out of it.

I have to say that as a rule, comic artists don’t intend to use the ideas others have used. It’s such a huge quantity, there’s not much chance that they’ve actually purposely used another artist’s idea, IMHO. Also, many are offended when accused of plagerizing—justly so.

Mother: Can’t you find a nice guy to date?Daughter: But he is nice. Why else would he be doing 500 hours of community service?
