I get the giggles almost every time my mother in law sneezes, it’s like the most ridiculously over the top comical thing! Just like this comic she says “aahh-choooooooooo”! She’s the only real life person I’ve ever heard actually say “achoo” when they sneeze!
I don’t know about your town, but in my hometown, women, young and old, would stifle their own sneezes maybe because they thought it would be rude to do otherwise.
