A man can wear any color shirt he wants to, if he wants to. A man who wears a pink shirt because it’s fashionable is a wuss. A man who takes off a pink shirt because somebody razzes him for it, is also a wuss.
I’ll wear purple - but not pink! Notice that there are no NFL teams that have pink in their color schemes - not even as trim. Imagine the Steelers in pink.
Remember Matt Dillon of Gunsmoke fame? He almost always had a pink shirt on. If pink is good enough for Matt, pink is good enough for me. I would never think of calling Matt a wuss.
I have had a pink shirt in the past and wore it because I liked the shirt and who says a man can’t wear whatever color he wants. And Earl, by taking off his shirt went from a pink shirt to pink skin. Actually, clothes are overrated.
My wife gave me pink shorts. They sat at the bottom of the drawer for three years with the tags on them before I gave them to the Salvation Army. Bet they are at the bottom of some other pore soul’s drawer
Tough guys may catch fish that colour, but I doubt they wear pink while doing it.
Also, the insult was triple - not only was it pink, but it was also *gasp* lovelyand a blouse!!
Personally I don’t like stereotypes and feel that anyone should feel comfortable wearing pretty much anything they want to, and not have to put up with derision for their fashion decisions.
Maybe a SALMON-colored sock was in the wash with a regular white shirt and Opal thought she bought the salmon shirt at store, but forgot about the sock.

This is where The Giant Brain tells Earl to put aside his preconceived notions of masculinity and to stop submitting to peer pressure as well.

I wouldn’t wear a shirt that color, but I don’t really notice it when someone else does.

That salmon looks more like pink to me. I won’t wear it. I’d try to lose it before Opal told me to wear it.

Neither salmon nor pink is a man’s color and my husband wouldn’t be caught dead or alive in either one.

I’ve seen men wearing pink even purple. I think they look fine.

The Jets should ear pink, after all Joe Namath wore nylons
GROG Premium Member over 15 years ago
That was a long time ago Gene. Although for the Seahawks and Eagles, pink would an upgrade from their current colors.

I dislike stereotypes as well, but we all fall victim too them….I wouldn’t wear a pink shirt. Too girly.

the colorist (Crane’s daughter i believe) either didn’t read the strip or doesn’t know what color salmon is because that’s not salmon, it’s pink
