The humor escapes me.

Oops…finally got it. Geez, I’m slow. I never had to put my contacts into my new phone as the cell phone folks x’ferred them for me. Still, I should have got it right away!

Opal is missing a contact somewhere between her ears.

HELLO…..?

Can you contact me now ? How about now ?

LOLs! Opal! Opal! You are out of the line. Not to wear the contacts on your eyes, just contact you by that cellphone! Hola!

Maybe its a video phone…

Maybe she just didn’t know the word contacts has more than one meaning.

I thought the same thing as Opal. Had to read this twice…

Wooooosh! That was the sound of contacts going over Opal’s head.

My mom is the same not up on electronics. Still lives 50 years in the past. Has modern applicances. My brother-in-law gave her a phone has it program for her. I do like reading Pickles glad our paper and gocomics has this strip so funny. Even when Earl makes dumb commits.

I had to reread it, because I thought the same thing as Opal. Alas; I have no excuse, being fifteen.

I’m the only person I know who doesn’t own a cell phone. I refuse to pay so much money for anything that’s not a necessity. Minigames, photos, videos — I’ve never seen anyone MAKING A CALL on one.

I may be more than 60 years older than you, Banana Slug, but I’m with you. You prefer experiencing life as it is meant to be, not artificially. Lead on…you’ll make it just fine.
