Well, after the PMRC scandals, everyone knew who it wouldn’t be: Al Gore. Tipper and the other radicals did more to tank Al’s chances of presidency than he himself did in the 2000 election. They alienated the critical youth vote that would grow up and never get past her radicalism. Even those of us too young to vote at the time still can’t get past the image of her baseless accusations about things like heavy metal and Dungeons and Dragons as being “pornographic” and “satanic,” respectively. When you study the legal transcripts regarding the PMRC hearings, she also comes across as a liar for saying she was opposed to the congressional hearings when it’s in black and white that she was in favor of them.
