The insurance on this is going to be a nightmare! Rip: Doc Shaw? Doc: Apparently, the extortion was just part of it - Spade plans to sell the child on the black market! He's straight-up evil! Wow… that’s got to be about the most heinous plot ever featured in this strip! Spade’s going down HARD.

Wow, baby selling doesn’t lend itself to ‘the funny’ very well, neither in the comments nor in the strip. Dan, nice job with the toned down humor in this strip that features such a dark plot turn. I suspect the child-selling was added so there will be no sympathy for the villain’s upcoming come-uppance.

EGAD!!! I was right! Spade DOES want custody of the child (…at least, until he finds a buyer)! I hope Rip serves him the Ultimate Sock-A-Roonie Lawsuit !

I think “BI-Winning” means Spade plans to get a profit from the parents, and get another profit from selling the child. Spade’s idea of a “win-win”, I suppose.

I have no idea what my thought process was on this particular thickening of the plot…I think I just wanted to up the ante on the suspense…I hope it’s working! Charlie Sheen made up the phrase “Bi-Winning” my sad attempt at being topical.

Mssr. Thompson, I MUST agree with Uncle Bad on this one. Selling Babies on the Black Market? not so Funny. And the less said about Charlie Sheen so much the Better IMNSHO. However, Redemption may be had with an Epic Haywire Haymaker Hoedown upon the Heinous Heads of these Horrible Henchmen.(Henchpersons??) Seeing Cobra Cooing and Cuddling the Baby afterwards and Rips Reaction to THAT … Now THERE is the Potential for some Good Ol’ Fashioned FUN! Night-Gaunt49’s Suggestion also has some Aesthetic Appeal (At least to Me), But I digress. In any Event, Keep up the Good Work and Don’t forget to Have Fun Y’all! HUGPOUNCEZZZZZ! :-)
