@Nabu, that’s what is known as “negative utility” (aka “totally useless.”) In my city they got some nursery school kids to scribble and dabble all over a canvas and then hung it in a big art show that is held here annually. They gave it some obscure name like “Etude Number Four” and the critics went crazy for it. They talked about the artist’s sexual repressions seeking expression, how it was an exercise in angst catharsis, and several political motifs that obviously weren’t there. The news team of a TV channel interviewed several people at the art show and got all kinds of pompous interpretations. In the end all was revealed and many faces were covered with egg.
