I have such sympathy for my former credit card companies that I cancelled all my cards several years ago and started living on a cash basis. The way the bank got back at me was to deny me a personal line of credit, earlier this year, on the basis that I didn’t carry any revolving credit! No exaggeration, that’s exactly what they said. Then they offered me a credit card at 18% interest.
I did without and saved for another 2 months and paid cash for the new harpsichord.
