It would be money well spent.

When I get a call from telemarketer, I ask them, “Are you saved?”. If they say Yes, I tell them I have no time for religious fanatics. If they say no, I tell them I refuse to do business with the ungodly.

Since I’m on the “Do Not Call” list anyway, when I get these calls, I tell them “sorry, I do not do business through telemarketing” and remind them that my number is on the DNC list.

I fully utilize my caller id. If by chance they get me on the phone, I just tell them that I’m not home.

I used to tell people offering credit cards that I was interested and that the last card I had, they actually expected me to pay them back. But I got tired of that routine so now it’s just cut and dried and get off the phone.

The bets Middletons was when all 3 generations of the women passed the phone to one number, confusing and frustrating the telemarketer.
