I cleared my cache and deleted cookies (on Firefox 3.5.3) and even rebooted my system. On comics.com, I’m getting the 10 Sep strip for some comics (e.g. Alley Oop, Arlo & Janis, Brevity) and the 12 Sep strip for others (e.g. 9 Chickweed Lane, Cow & Boy, Frazz) (FWIW, in IE 8.0, I’m getting the 10 Sep strip for everything I try. Don’t know if that’s connected to bringing the strips up first in Firefox or not.)
In addition, if I click on the “Comments” list for the comics which give me the 12 Sep strip, I get a “404 Not Found” error. FWIW, the “Comments” link for the comics which give me the 10 Sep strips works fine. Some people are apparently able to get into the comments - I’m seeing non-zero comment counts for some of the strips where I’m able to get the 12 Sep strip. (As I’m sure you know, seeing zero comments for some strips is not surprising.)
I’m almost sure that some strips where I’m now getting the 12 Sep strip gave me the 10 Sep strip previously, and vice-versa. (Just verified that. As mentioned earlier, I had been getting the 10 Sep strip for Arlo & Janis and Brevity. After restarting Firefox, I’m now getting the 12 Sep strips for both.)
Here’s a site which seems to have some good info on the current situation.
Comics I Don’t Understand had some good info on the initial problem, but not so much on the current problem. That could always change.
Thanks, both of you, for the cookies tip. Clearing the comics.com cookies from this browser (Mac Opera) did the trick for every strip I’ve checked. … Your link to softsailor.com seems to give less information than you did, above. I have no idea what their video of a $^(*& baby has to do with anything.

After all our complaints about Loose Parts not getting posted on time, now the entire Comics.com site has been stuck on Sept. 10 for two days. Sheesh.
