Slim’s “sting” is about to be revealed. By the middle of next week, Mona and Upton will have that expression the villains on Mission Impossible episodes wore at the end, realizing they’d been duped by a mastermind.
Poor Slim. Sometimes I hate it when he is constantly portayed a a real boob. I’m sure he is a great husband, father and grandfather, but gets little or no credit. But, afterall he’s definitely not the sharpest knife in the crayon box.
For those who want to indulge - the Tribune is still trying to drum up interest in their presentations and has posted some upcoming Gasoline Alley strips. The upcoming strips explain where the REAL Rev. Peacegood has been all this time.
@Oldbooger: Having just picked up this strip again after many years, I’m surprised that Scancarelli has made Slim such a moron. In Dick Moore’s days, he was more of a good-natured sort of simple guy, but he had more grit.

And I gotta agree, that last panel is nice.

Axe - I feel bad for the criminal villians who consider Slim to be any kind of a mastermind.
Deborah - No spoilers!
It’s too bad they don’t publish on line a GA classic, I’d love to see some of the old story lines.
