She’s going to find him with another woman and she’ll run out of the theater leaving Walt by himself.

Ronshua is right, that guy is no match for Gertie on a mission!

I knew she’d be held up by security. Let’s see what happens now, on Monday since Sunday will be a different storyline.

Methinks there are more than two “Angel Eyes” in Byrd’s cage…

Oh Oh…..I have a bad feeling the ending of this arc is not going to turn out so good. Poor Gertie.

To all of you who expect bad things and feel sorry for Gertie: Scancarelli isn’t into unhappy endings. That’s one of the reasons I love this gentle and beautifully drawn strip.

If Byrd is otherwise attached, it will be a sad ending for Gertie. If Gertie runs off with Byrd, it’ll be a sad ending for Walt, unless Gertie keeps living in the Wallet home, caring for Walt while Byrd is on indefinite tour.

I hope she doesn’t catch him in the middle of a lap dance.

Skeezix is too busy tooling around the country on vacations with Nina.

Heck, Skeezix is nearly 90 himself; he’s too old to be anyone’s full-time caregiver.

It’s kind of a shame that since GA is older than almost all of its readers, and very little of it has ever been reprinted, there’s no way to appreciate the backstories. I mean, it’s not like Scancarelli said “hey, I think I’ll make comic strip about a 100-year old guy and his 80 year old adopted son.” Their story unfolded over decades.
