Peter: What's this? Jason: I'm making a snow sculpture nativity scene in honor of the holiday season. These are the wise men... these are the shepherds... And in this crib is the tiny savior of Christmas. Peter: How cute. A baby credit card. Jason: Are those lightning clouds forming up there?

It appears that Jason didn’t quite get it. But with those “lightning clouds” it seems he’s going to get it.

On second thought, maybe not! That is Christmas these days, no wonder we’re in the shape we’re in!

The joke is that Christmas is about the birth of baby Jesus, and the three wise men giving him gifts. Of course, Jason would rather have a credit card to pay for his gifts (selfish Jason and Peter).
By my guess, the lightening clouds are God’s way of getting revenge.

I guess I saw it wrong. The way I see it, it really IS the nativity scene, but Peter automatically assumes that it’s a baby credit card without looking closely…

I have several credit cards, but I pay them off each month. I use them because of the “reward points.” I get gift cards to Best Buy and Barnes and Noble. I think the credit card companies hate me, because the cards have no fees, and I don’t carry a balance, so there is no interest, and they have to give me free stuff. I’m actually costing them money!
NadineFD about 15 years ago
Notinksanymore, they charge the merchant everytime you use your card… the credit card companies never lose, no matter how intelligently you use your cards.
Very funny strip, the real savior of Christmas revealed! ;)

If you read up on it you will find that the wisemen were no where near the stable at the birth of Jesus. That is why when they found him he was a young child in a house and also why Herod had every child 2 yrs old and under killed.
