Roger: at least the parents here let the rest of the family to their partying when they don’t want to go on themselves. ;)

I usually celebrate the new year at 12:05 am when the fireworks wake me up …

Takiniteasy, we’re in the same boat. Unfortunately, we’ve been celebrating it pretty much every night since Christmas – apparently the kids down the street spent all their Christmas money on fireworks and just couldn’t wait until tonight to have some fun.

    Happy New Year, y’all!

It is funny how as I age my bedtime comes earlier and earlier. I am now getting up within an hour of the time I used to go to bed.

lol. That’s like my parent’s. It’s a good thing they don’t mind having a bunch of kids in their early 20’s celebrating in the living room.

This year, we told our daughter (age 8-1/2) she could stay up as late as she wanted on New Year’s Eve. She’s so excited – she’s been talking of little else for days!

(Around 9, I expect to be carrying her to bed …)

On the GMA showed some countries celebrating News Years Day. This strip reminds of Baby Blues where everyone is asleep before 12am. For me and others who have New Years Eve as a BD we have to share with others who celebrate New Years Eve and at the end of the year. Me I will be going to a pt job then come home for my BD. Happy New Years to everyone. There’s suppose to be a full moon tonight.

Not only a full moon, but a partial lunar eclipse on a “blue moon”…which fact has some people needlessly excited.

You can look up international times on http://www.timeanddate.com and see where 1 January 2010 had already come and where 31 December 2009 hasn’t ended it. Either way, Happy New Year, “FoxTrot” readers.

I guess this is the polar opposite of “It’s 5 o’clock somewhere”.
