    Andy, how good a job did Bush do leading up to and ON 9/11?

    I’m not sure I agree. Perhaps if Bush had listened to the CIA before 9/11. But many did torture by any definition of the word, and at least their superiors – those who said “go ahead,” need to be held accountable. No information is worth losing your soul. And that’s what employing torture does to our whole country – it destroys our soul, the thing that was supposed to make us better than other countries. We are supposed to be the good guys who treat their prisoners humanely. Without that, what makes us different?

    Frankly, we only have the Bush Administrations word that they “kept us safe.” Were there really any more threats? Besides the shoe guy? I rather doubt it.
