She’s mean enough that they’ll spit her out! Welcome over, Ludwig!

Hi Ludwig! I’ve missed your comments! Looks like Shirl is dog chow, doesn’t it? (Hey Morrow…this is better than Queenie’s demise ;) )

Those pups aren’t eating her, they’re just tearing off her clothes. Can hardly wait for the next panel.

Right in the Chester Gould tradition, to have a wrongdoer reap the fruits of his/her sins. He’d love to see someone torn to pieces like this. But the whole sequence is stupid, with the dogs always poised to attack but in suspension until Shirl shows up.

Wow, it appears that the comic is close to the end now that Shirl showed up. So what does that mean, another two months to wrap this one up? Maybe for Christmas we will have the gift of a new comic. Lets hope there is not another Halloween “side mission” with DT sleeping over with strange men again this year. Happy Monday DickTracy, have a nice salami and peanut butter sandwich (on burnt bread!).

Well Sandwiches. Some of us appreciate driving the speed limit, listening to songs by Bun B, and not getting involved in tomfoolery. I think the speed of DT comics is just fine. It’s nice to have a comic strip that doesn’t go too fast for me the way all these movies, books, and regular sized school buses do.

BWAHAHA! When I clicked to view yesterday’s strip, I noticed that today’s “Featured Sponsor” reads: Mighty Dog® - A Mighty™ Meal. The bold, meaty meal your dog deserves!

    Hello to my fellow Magpies!!!

If the dogs go far enough with the clothes ripping, we may have our first XXX Tracy STRIP! :)

If Locher goes that route (and we ALL know how old men are), P-U-L-E-E-Z-E get a better-looking subject!

If he goes that route, he should get the mid 70s Sparkle Plenty.

Or Lizz circa 1978. Or Texie Garcia. Not now, of course (is she still alive?) but the 1933 Texie.

I am pleasantly surprised that the dogs were shown making contact with any part of Miss Shirl Locke. I am also glad that Mr. Locher didn’t see fit to have Baskerville controlling a constricting serpent instead of mean dogs. Can you imagine how the “Speckled Band of Bohemia” would have worked as a plot device?

Oh, yeah, and I can’t help admitting that the third panel makes me think of Patsy Cline.
