Unless he can crush a human skull with those braces, who cares?

Yeah, Braces isn’t overly clever.. Could be the start of a whole orthodontic gang, though! Next we’ll see Headgear, Upperplate and Crown!

Notice the deformed right arm of the gangster in the second panel. This mutation was caused by radiation from the braces, which are actually microwave antennae.

“Braces” reminds me of “Jaws” from the old James Bond flicks – only not as scary.

The guys thumb in the 2nd panel looks like it comes from the middle of his palm.

On a personal note, hello again to all my loved ones.(you know who you are!) I missed you all.

    Peace.

Braces looks like an old DI (Drill Instructor) I used to have. Except, Braces probably has a higher IQ.

What ever became of B. O. Plenty and Gravel Gertie? And Moon Maid? And the giant escargot?

BB, welcome home!! Good to have you with us again!

margueritem, you want to know what has happened to B.O., Gertie, and Moon Maid? B.O. and Gertie were left at the airport to fend for themselves several stories back and Moon Maid died in (I believe) 1978 when she started a car that was wired to kill Tracy.

We’re trying to figure out what happened to Junior and Sparkle and when’s the retirement party for poor Pat Patton.

As a fan of Dick Tracy for many years, I’m glad that it is still around. But, I’m afraid, that the strip has lost a lot of its life and vitality, as evidenced by this strip of talking heads, and virtually no background setting, save for a suggestion of a door frame and a picture on the wall.Much of the “romance” of the strip is gone through the abbreviated rendering and the obvious hastily drawn perspective.
