I know what it is. The cartoonist has ZERO ideas about a new gadget That is the only logical reason for stalling so much He has Zero Ideas about a new techno gizmo.

Let us suggest the Dick some ideas for gizmos for Tracy. :-D LOLz

See, this is what I mean about DL not following through with consistant designs. Braces has looked like he does in the 2nd panel all along, then Locher gets sloppy and changes the whole shape of the face in the next panel! SLOPPY!

Anyone want to bet on how many times we see the box-like building in panel #1 before this story is over? I vote 10.

It is interesting that the artist has so many different faces for this Braces fellow when all of his other faces (ie, Dick Tracy) look like stencils most of the time.

I think that when we see Diet Smith next time he will be splitting out of his pants and surrounded by empty milk cartons.

Looks more like a farm than a construction site.

An “abandoned” construction site? Looks like they left permanant buildings, a truck and a bulldozer there. Must belong to the Government, as only they would “abandon” assets like that. I get first dibbies on the dozer! I bet the house was used for housing their undocumented workers.

Morrow,who do you think is hiding in the tree?

Probably Diet Smith because (1) the tree is obviously topheavy and leaning, turning the root ball up. Everyone knows trees don’t grow like that; or, (2) the buildings were built out-of-plumb. If it is indeed a Government construction job, I’d vote for number (2).

So. DT’s elite squad hires insane British criminals to work as detectives, because they don’t do background checks. Yet Braces and his team have “failed” to infiltrate this elite squad. Sounds like a criminal mastermind. I suppose that is why Braces is working out of an abandoned, not-even-complete, building. Next up, DT tries to outwit the homeless. The winner gets a free ride in the short bus.

Why would someone leave construction equipment at an abandoned site…unless they were scared away by a ghost of some kind! Plus could they put a door on the building to keep out the riffraff?

Sounds like a better story than what’s going on.
