Are panels 1 and 3 even part of the same conversation? In 1, he’s standing upright in the open (and looks like a World War II anti-Japanese propaganda poster). In 3, he’s drowning in a sea of raging spinach. How can be talking to Lizz?
Liz: “Yeah sure, Tracy, we’ve got them just sitting here at HQ waiting for something to do. In the meantime, could you complete a request form and email it via your Wrist Genie so we can dispatch our tank team to your position. If you want the tank airlifted to get there faster, you’ll need to submit another request form. And hurry, Tracy!”
I like that Tracy picked the word “belligerant” to describe the robot that is ready to kill him with a lazer. Choice words, detective.
Send a TANK? Props to Liz for handling Tracy like the 3-year old he is acting like. It seems like she has probably heard this request from him before since she didn’t yack at his question.
Falling to the floor cleared Tracy’s mind and brought him back to reality, at least temporarily. He quickly realized that he was no match for Brute-Force. As much as he hated to rely on her Dick knew he needed ‘Chief’ Lizz’s help. He felt like gagging as he hysterically called her on his wrist phone.
“Chief! We’re pinned down by a belligerent robot! Can you send a tank”?
“Hopefully she’ll get killed during the fight, saving me the trouble”! Tracy comforted himself with that thought.
“What is this old fool talking about now”? Chief Lizz muttered while disgustingly shaking her head. “Only an old fart like Dick would use a word like belligerent”, she chuckled.
“Does he think I carry around a tank in my back pocket”?
“Why don’t you use Diet Smith’s Robot”? She answered, looking forward to seeing Traze-R in action.
Dick wondered how much of a moron she was. Of course he would have used HIS robot if he could.
“Laser hit him-He’s out of business. YI! Laser’s getting closer”“!
Tracy couldn’t help himself as he continued to provide color commentary.
“ZAP”
Lizz almost had an accident on herself. If Tracy damaged Traze-R in any way she’d personally have Dick castrated.

That’s right, Anthony. Unless there are clouds of dust particles or fog to disperse the light, you won’t see it. The light rays you see in cartoons are just like the lines you see behind bullets…they are devices that let you know what the path is; not meant to depict actual physics.
All depends on where the laser’s emission falls in the spectrum of light (there is such a thing as visible laser light). I wasn’t trying to start an argument, merely responding to Anthony’s comment that if it was daylight Tracy wouldn’t know where the lasers were going. Chill, y’all!

There’s never a band of Klingons around when you really need them. A couple of bursts of disruptor fire would settle BF’s hash real quick.
Quick SWAT team! Give me one of those laser-sighted rifles and we’ll show Dick Tracy how this is REALLY done if all you really have is bullets and not disruptors. The laser sight will allow us to put the bullets right in BF’s mouth. Hit the laser, maybe with luck even hit the speaker and shut BF up. Wild guess here, bet the “think chip” is hidden in that helmet too and you might get lucky and hit it as well.
