Syndney, yesterday you said there were 3 storyline dealing with gambling. I came back during the Al Kinda (stayed because I couldn’t figure out if the beautiful agent was a man or a woman). What was the second gambling storyline?
Akenta asks:
“What was the second gambling storyline?”
The Queen of Diamonds, aka Kimberly Mines, aka Quennie’ (1-22-07 to 5-20-07). A war between two Casinos and an expensive Diamond (The Blue Eye of Mondazzi). Involved, was a gang headed by Royal Flush, including One-eyed Jack”. Queenie gave Tracy a sound martial arts thrashing on a raised patio, then died by diving off after (an immitation) Diamond and falling into the smoke stack of a passing boat below. An end no doubt “inspired” by that of Ugly Christine (1965).
That was the story in which Liz(z) was promoted to Chief and replacement, useless Lt.Teevo arrived with his “ski jump” NOSE (since dissapeared), He was a “Communications Specialist”, but other than giving trivial verbal messages readers are still waiting after TWO years to see him fire even a “paper gun”.
Another Detective (sorry, “defective” OR “ineffectine” - take your pick) Locher creation, that provides convincing “proof” that Dick Locher IS a “genious”. But silly me, why bother to raise this (?), we have on hand, FOUR barrels of artistic “BULL-SHOT” over the last four days (?). Enough to “frame” as the Author’s malodorous masterpiece ;). There to “adore” as we go to genuflect everyday.
Artist Dab Stract, in his own way, brush in hand, would have been proud!
I am just a little curious. How long has it been since DT stopped by HQ? A month, maybe? He finally finished changing clothes, all while on the phone, and now he is running to get in his car with a punctured gas tank. Maybe he will take Noll’s car which still has three or four drops of perfume in the tank. The snow returned in recent days, so wouldn’t you love to see DT’s hat return? Oh well, the hat is still around on Sunday along with the mammary. sigh… make that a very heavy SIGH…
Well “Radical-Knight” gets the point (we hope), as Tracy appears with yellow coat on as assumed, (regetably no hat), as he prepares to exit the house.
As Dick trys to speed off we all hope he remembers his car has no petrol. Will he start?
Trying not to “nit-pick”, but why the word “Jack” in front of the Cashier?. Been into a few Casinos in my time, but never seen a Slot Machine designed for “left-handers” (?)
Locher seems hyped up with words, or pithy phrases associated with gambling. two “deals” and today a “three lemmon talk”? No harm but we’re tending to drift into “over-kill”
Not much to comment on. Waiting for Locher to dip his pen in some of Noll’s “150 octane” perfume to help in cranking his mental engine and accelerate the “pace” of his stories.
I am very happy with the rendition of BO’s head and Dick’s as well … there just seems to be something “off” with the bodies … almost bobble-head in nature!!!

You’re right! They’re saying a new artist is hanging around. Perhaps it’s Scott Adams (?) You know that “anti-gravity” thing he does with Dilbert’s tie ;)

The last time we saw B.O. and Gertie they had won the lottery. I guess B.O. is just getting around to blowing through that money?

Pretty fair rendition of B.O.

This is a job for….Gamblers Anonymous!
How will Tracy get to the casino? The road is still blocked by Angelorious’ still smoldering car.

What’s all this talk about Dicks head?

BO’s head looks the same as I remember it looking. Nice to see an old character again.

How long before a crime is committed (or not committed in this strip’s case)?

Thank You Luidwig. I thought that’s where we last left Guritie and BO in their new mansion paid for with the Lottery Winnings.
Tracy will go to Casnio to ‘Rescue BO nad through BO’s bumblings, BO will discover the Casnio is rigging the Machines.
BO will be hailed a Hero and given even more Money as a reward the Insurance Company had for the Casnio suspected the Casnio was cheating customers.
If I’m not mistaken, the word’s casINo. . Not being picky. point is, the comments are more entertaining.
