Hmmmm…while B. O. & Gertie are otherwise occupied, the crooks are breaking into chez Plenty & stealing B. O.’s winnings? I dunno. Slot machine in panel one has buttons, not a lever. Different exterior shot of Jack’s Casino in panel 2. And the little box pointing to an object returns triumphantly in panel 3! And a “RING RING BA-ZING” to all.
Brozman artwork style is good, but not great. It’s better of Locher, but is not again a work of a true artist. Th eTracy profile is very classic in the third panel, but the hand…we have every day the same problem.
The hand in panel 3 looks better???
It looks like either a cloud formation or the Elephant Man’s hand. Granted, the art is a little better than before, but the stories still lack any fluid theme or continuity.
From a LONG TIME TRACY FAN, it’s too bad this is the best that we are strapped with.
1) New “shape” for Wrist Genee
2) The “lettering” looks so neat, crisp and clean. (Almost as good as Shel Dorf’s on Steve Canyon)
3) Tracy’s hand, still a bit small, is close to correct size. (AND, we can see a Wrist-bone now)
4) It’s refreshing to again see the once familiar BOX and ARROW pointing at the Wristgeenee.
On the negative side:
A) There is a need to “trim” those Groucho Marx eye-brows.
B) It’s not earth shaking, but people DO have “finger nails”. Draw them!
C) Less important art work (e.g. that Casino shot), does look a little sloppy (Excuse: “Just like them ‘thick’ eye-brows, I only ‘dood’ the EXACT ‘doodle’ Dicky did”).
WELL! Just like the “lettering”, spread the improvements all around. No need to blindly copy third rate stuff.
And Jim , (if you read this) better get your “design” pencil properly sharpened for the next story. That’s a “key” feature in Dick Tracy.
1) Woulld you be happy if their faces never had eyes as long as the story was interesting? Perhaps we should have Scott Adams (of Dilbert) in, to do the Art! ;+)
2) Who was “nitpicking” on Gasoline Alley two weeks ago? ;+)

Tracy has to thin out those eyebrows.
That is one of the better hands in the last panel.
