I’m underwhelmed by the excitement.

So if Tracey is an “Ace” and he’s in the basement, would that make it an “Ace hole”?

And I thought poker was bad.

No, Tracy couldn’t be laughing in panel 1 - someone is obviously just regurgutating alphabet soup.

Jack went to the same shooting school as Angelorious.

Who’s laughing now? Not us…

Well, since this strip has not exactly been known for it’s action for some years now, I love it! Now, what I am definately tired of are these stupid playing card puns!!!

The thing about the original Dick Tracy is Chester Gould could fit so much in three or four panels. It was indepth and hard-hitting. One storyline would read like an epic graphic novel spread over one or two months with new twist and turns every week… I’m obviously expecting way too much here…

Hey, we got action!!! Is that an abstract death’s head in the right half of the second panel???

So the “Circus” ploy worked!

Wait, yesterday there was wood paneling and a portrait in the room (behind Jack). Today in Panel 1, Dick appears to be framed by a background of small bricks, and when he tackles Jack, we pretty clearly see that we’re in some kind of control room.

Even for this dork age of Tracy, that’s pretty inconsistent.

I think Tracy has misjudged One One Eye, who must be part Vulcan. Why else would he be showing Dick the “Live long and prosper” sign?

When I wrote a book with a scene like this, the editor IMMEDIATELY sent it back with the comment, “OF COURSE they will tie him up…” Took me two weeks to figure out how to get him untied. Next time I’ll just tell the editor, “If it’s good enough for Dick Tracy, it’s good enough for you…”

By the way, why is this scene taking place at Homer Simpson’s work station?

The biggest problem with this joke is that an ace is sometimes used as a 1.

mbribery, that rule (Jack tops Ace) is true in “28”–is it also true in bridge?

(the only time I actually played bridge, I actually won by applying rules from “28”…which does use four players, but a much-reduced set of cards)
