So Tracy put the rake down and now he picks it back up? Who’s in charge of continuity around here… oh wait there is none.

Round and round and round she goes. And where she stops, nobody cares. Sigh. Back to senilityille. These 3 panels seem completely out of order. We already saw Jack and Tracy fighting with these props. And the dialogue is pointless and repetitive. The Gertie beats up the thugs plot is more interesting. And Jack’s fall from the suddenly glassed in control room apparently knocked some of the detail off his er… dashiki.

Looks like Jackie has a peg leg in the first panel.

Decent hand in panel three. Jim must have drawn it. They remimd me of a couple of wrestlers on WWF trying to promote an upcoming bout.

Tracy’s now doing a Ben Grimm (aka “The Thing”) imitation–“it’s clobbering time!”

Maybe that’s not Dick’s hand… was he wearing a white suit?

Perhaps Gould made similar mistakes but I don’t seem to remember them. It seems they are routine, almost every day now and rife with repetitive text, as the comments above point out. Much of it comes from a writer who still has (but shouldn’t have) problems with pacing between Sunday pages written in advance.

It speaks of wasted panel space and suggests also that the author hasn’t got a clear idea where his story is going, as evidenced by his two wrong direction “clues” or “ideas”. Namely the GO NOWHERE Credit card (iPhone)scam charge and the idea to have the FBI check on Jack’s tax situation (4-03-09 “We’ll have tax records in an hour”, the FBI said).

These are like “911 fast”, for the shot Dr. Noll. It’s close on 2 months now and nothing further ever happened! (?)

This, aside from space wasted by inclusion of “non event” nonsense, it’s what now passes for the “procedural” detective work that Ellery Queen so admired in his 1970 Introduction to (Chelsea House) “The Celebrated Cases of Dick Tracy”. It was a distinguishing feature that died in early 1993 when under Kilian and Locher Tracy evolved into America’s leading “Hunch” detective !

it is NOT a ‘decent’ hand, at all…the length of the distance from the bend of wrist to the joints of the fingers is too short ….the third and fourth fingers are too short and the index finger appears to be warped or badly broken—

It’s not totally repetitive. Panel 2 is revealing that Jack was a rap star in a former life.

“I should let you in on our scheme before you die!”

Good thinking- it would be hard to let him in on the scheme after he dies.

I just hope we’ll get in on the scheme before I die…

Is he putting down the rake so he can pick up a better weapon? Or is this like those movies where a cowboy keeps ominously cocking a gun that’s already cocked?
