Oh, for crying out loud! A slug fest is taking place on the floor of the casino involving her boss, and she’s telling him he has a phone call?!? Good grief!

“i’m sorry, but Mr. Jack can’t come to the phone, he’s getting his bleeep kicked”. If I did not already drink, this strip would drive me to do so.

Why is this fight still going on? Tracy already called HQ after he laid out Jack on the dice table. A little continuity here, please? Good thing Chester Gould is already dead. If he wasn’t, he would be after puking his guts out when he read this. Could we get a strip of the old Dick Tracy re-runs? The ones Chester Gould drew himself?

At last count, our firend OEJ, was out for the count lying on the roulette table while Tracy called in the calvary (of course IAB will be there as well wondering why he was illegally wiretapping again but thats a whole other issue) So now they’re at it again and this bimbo is bringing him the phone? Holy Carp Batman. Get the joker, please. This is getting insane.

BTW - OEJ looks surprisingly like Harrington from One Day at a Time.

They just had that “solitaire” label there! Of course this only confirms our suspicions that neither Locher or Brozman have the faintest idea what solitaire is.

The strip artwork is good, but the dialogue in the last panel is ridicolous.

    That third panel is ludicrous.

ridenslide, you’re right! Jackie looks like Schneider in the last panel!

The only thing that can possibly make sense of this strip is that it is a total lampoon of itself.

The third panel may be silly, but it did make me laugh, wasn’t that what they wanted!!!

Prediction: Tomorrow, Tracy picks up the rake again and places it gently on OEJ’s shoulder!!

Ahhhh, I always hoped Soliaire would make a big comeback. Such an overlooked game to play while enjoying… what is that, a shot? Nice….

On second thought, Big Ace’s hand “movements” in panel one, look like he’s about to perform a card “trick”

    … and he does!

As Brine noted perhaps the whole purpose of today’s strip was to make readers laugh.

… intentionally or not, they succeeded.

Eat your heart out Scott Adams!

Which version of solitaire is that one? Not Klondike for sure!

The woman telling her boss that he had a phone call while getting the snot kicked out of him, must be “BLONDE” - maybe she was put in the strip for some “Comic Relief”.

I would like to thank the artist for thoughtfully labeling the solitaire game for us. I was momentarily mystified until I scrolled slightly up high enough to see the cleverly labeled playing cards. Now if someone would please label Big Aces fingers in the 1st panel. How many are there? Seven?

That doesn’t look like any game of Solitaire I’ve ever played.
