Panel 2 - Why is Dick beating up such a little guy with a big head for? That’s just not right. He should pick on somebody his own size. He hit him so hard that his mustache even came off. At least Dick had the decency to find it and put it back on his unconcious body in panel 3.
I guess we may have underestimated Jack’s “bounce to the ounce”! Knocked out twice the man just keeps “bouncing” back. Perhaps we should not have expected a character less resilient than that, particularly coming from the man, who managed to concieve the idea of the famous Yellow ‘Rubber’ Duckie, that can jump from one Sunday page to another every week.
This guy doesn’t have a “glass jaw”. Jack missed his calling, sporting such robust buoyoncy he should have been a pugilist. There is potential for some big ‘Jackpots’ in that endeavor plus adulation. Considerably better than that of his ‘duckie’ cousin’s who often (on fear of discovery?) has to hide behind picture frames.
“Out for the day”? No baby! He has to get up again in the next round to take a ‘shot’, and it won’t be from a camera.
The odd position of Tracy’s hand after that swing, looks so much more like a backward ‘push’ than a punch (?).
We’ve seen enough to realize there’s a need for a FEW serious “sessions” on ANATOMY here. Locher, despite his Editotial achievements has always needed it, and Brozman a soul-mate, seems equally challenged.
Today’s stiff “tie” is a reminder ! TMS, the company of mandates on artists, should take action now, to avert ‘sniggering’ as the strip slowly morphs, with those ‘action’ ties and odd shaped human apendages into something readers hilariously re-name, “Dicky’s Dilbert” !
Scott Adams may just feel threatened enough to join the que and sue !
This makes three different ways Dick KOed Jack - once by grabbing Jack’s leg and flipping him, once using a dealer’s rake, and now once by using his fist.

Well, as long as you can take a message… btw, the avatar is my real face, but before I had the nose job, and without my toupee.

Folks, that lady can really put the spin on things. And to Sydney Phillips, maybe he’s Spring Heeled Jack?
