Hang in there, BO. I’m with you! Let’s move it to where Macy can’t find it - like the bank! And if he does, he won’t know which bills came from where. You pulled the arms off a lot of slots for that money, according to your system. All that Macy would do with it is make sure it never made it back to the Property Room and probably buy a Dunkin Donut franchise or invest it in Tess’ perfume business.
Still, what about the bank statements??
I don’t think it could ever tie into this crazy story line now.
My wife is just starting to read all of my DT collection between her novels, and really likes the art and stories. She just finished the Mrs. Pruneface story. Loved it.
I have not yet had the pleasure of showing her what it has morphed into now. Have a Great Weekend to all!
Do I have any backers here that think BO has a claim on the money? It’s like going into a store and buying stuff on sale that the store manager improperly priced. BO put his quarters in the slots to start them, so he is “buying” a chance to hit the jackpot……….
Yes! That would be good if someone would first go over to find out if Jack is still alive and possibly needs help and/or an Ambulance. We’ve been waiting for two weeks now
If the bald truth must be told, It seems more like a “Goofy” move in Mickey Mouse … it’s a challenge to “respect” the offering, they’re fraught with contradictions where realities seem to change every 2 days. Seems the only discernable purpose of the Squadrol coming was to give Jack a chance to grab a gun. Since then his figure (after the shooting), just lies on the floor. While all the police in the room carefully remain out of sight.
This is unrealistic. Some one must be confused, forgetful, do they think the strip they’re doing is “Dick Tigger” in Winnie the Poo?
Not even one Officer checked to see if Jack still remained a threat (see a gun’s there, 2 inches from his hand) OR if he was dying, bleeding to death and in need of assistance. It’s like Baskerville and the Hounds all over again. Tracy made no move to shoot the dogs to save the man, it was callous and “in-humane”(?) as they called in the Vet Services first
Another sign that those doing the script forget what they wrote yesterday.Tracy’s promoted a Sergeant on the spot to Lieutenant status. We have to assume, for being careless enough to let Jack grab his gun.
Then the King of Clubs first said he “leases-out” the Casinos (flat fee?) then talks of HIS Managers, and HIS profits being stolen (?) Some inconsistencies here ! (?)
Meanwhile, readers are still waiting (with fading hope) to see the relevance of the scam on Tess’ Credit Card in the melle of 2 faced facts. Was it just the usual disconnected “red-herring”, similar to the rush to get Income Tax information on Jack, that was forgotten up in mid-air?
The script is rife with these “Jack-in-the-box” factors.
Can’t help but nail it all down to professional negligence.
But in some quarters this is all viewed very differently. Perhaps that’s considered a scintillating writing style in Naperville. Point readers in one direction today, and then play the “contradiction” card, by smartly turning everything in the OPPOSITE direction tomorrow.
Who knows? These brilliant, non-traditional moves might well pull in a Reuben Award for Locher on his way out (?), Leaving an innovative style for the next generation of writers to follow.
Haha, Morrow, your posts crack me up. I am not 100% sure, but I think that the law would have some issues with BO getting property/money without good “title”…since it was “stolen”… also, it is evidence like Jon said. But this is a Dick Tracy comic where reality doesn’t matter anyway.
I think that BO and Gerdie will get away with the bag of 1,000 dollar bills that Tracy probably doesn’t know about. Also, I think that Tracy would not only spend the money on a DD’s franchise but also on a series of bad hats and possibly an eye-job.
They need that cash for a sting operation on Big Arse. Tracy in disguise as One Eye(d?) Jack. Of course they’ll draw him with the right (wrong) eye missing.

Perhaps they should pick up the body.

That money rightfully belongs to the crime syndicate, BO. You’ll have to return it. That’s only right.

I guess Brozman was late for lunch so he reused the drawing of a flattened Jackie for panel 2. I hope his tuna fish sandwich was tasty.

Morrow, I think court of Law would say the money is legally his, but of course, the police will confiscate it for evidence

I love the pool of blood coming from his head in Panel 2. It kinda looks like his face slid off his skull upon impact….

The money belongs to BO. Even OEJ thinks so, or he would have sent lawyers (shudder) instead of thieves.
So shall it be written, so shall it be done.
