DEAL ME IN….

As this story begins to wind down it may be worth noting that perhaps it’s a good thing Tracy has been in Office only ONCE (4-05-09) for this year ! Yes Woodstock ! I know comic strip time is different, but come September 2nd he might have “visited” there, only THREE times for the whole year ! He may need his badge for “recognition” purposes.

Doesn’t look as if he’s paying too much attention to “regular” police work. It’s almost as if he stumbles across things or is “moonlighting” having been distracted by Perfume manufacturing for his wife and minding a friend (solo) who has a Gambling vice.

It will soon be TWO years (mid October) since Tracy returned from Washington and Baron Von Klu Meister. In every story since, Lizz (or Buzz if you prefer) has had to send in “Armed” back up. And one can’t with a straight face say they have acted with distinction on each occasion.

It”s noticeable that Sam is never called. Teevo never called. Have they been layed off in the recession ? And I thought there was still a vacancy to be filled.

Locher ought to pay more attention to these little things. They could reflect poorly on the enthusiastic “perception” that he is a “genius” !

Come to think about it. What ever happened to the fellow that goes by that somewhat fawning name ?

Who is the third artist who did the last panel? Looks like some grade school kid won a, “Draw Dick Tracy for a Day”, contest. A sharp contrast from the first two panels.

Big Ace once again has a slightly different look to him. Brozman needs to be consistent. Maybe Locher’s inconsistency is rubbing off?

I can see it now…… Tracy pulls out a deck that he got at the Magic Shop and tells Big Ace, “Pick a card….. any card…” Imagine the rest.

oh, come on, the third panels isnt THAT bad….(although I liked the ‘draw dick tracy for a day’ bit) if you fix the screwed up perspective in the blinds on the second floor, it is passable, not as bad as the hand renderings we’ve seen….. and ….what a coincidence that the month and date of the strip is the same as monte cassino’s address

What’s Tracy gonna tell the KOC if he accidentally loses the money? What’s he gonna tell Liz(z)? Assuming they have an Internal Affairs Department, what’s he gonna tell them? “Hey, guys! SOMEONE’S GOTTA WIN- I had it all goin’ for me….. a two and a six. All I needed was a three, four and five to have an inside straight.”

If “Big Ace” says “nobody beats Big Ace” one more time, I’m gonna just LOSE IT!!!!!

Everybody has to say the same thing at least twice just so we don’t fall behind in this blazingly fast paced plot.

Ace in the hole. Tiger Wood’s at the US Open has a beeter chance of winning than Tracy getting the loot t’ boot!
