Peeling oranges annoys me. That’s why I always cut them open like apples and suck out the flesh like a wild animal.
…
So, etiquette-wise, peeling might actually be a good idea.
Why do comics have to make the characters have self-realization about their observations? It’s old and cheesy. Let their counter-clockwise/clockwise observation stand on its own. Read some of the current webcomics today and see that many of the characters don’t make old self-realization comments about themselves. Let the jokes stand on their own without putting in the standard reactions at the end.

At least you’re getting a lot of exercise as you walk, peel, and talk.

I never use a knife to peel an orange. The skin comes off easy using the fingers.

And yet we all sat here and read about it. And then some of us posted about it. Move over Broomie, let me have a seat next to you.

Move over too, Dypak… I peel my with my fingers too (the white stuff doesn’t bother me) but sometimes have to start off with a knife.

You shouldn’t peel an apple anyway. The best part of the nutrients is just under the skin.
Also, the white stuff in the orange (I agree that the skin of an orange is inedible) is fibre, which is good for you.

Why, oh, why can’t Cadorville’s Lemont have a moment of self-discovery like this? His title as “Prince of Pathetic” would finally be removed!
