Major mistake, rodent!

So that’s the problem – the revolting rodents are discharging Broomie’s zapper!!!

Those pesky squirrels! They get into everything! Calm down, Auntie Broomie, and look for your witch’s hat!

The squirrels are taking over!

simply shocking!

Up here the squirrels get into the electrical transformers and knock out all the power to an entire neighbourhood. Hope that didn’t happen to Broomie.

Next frame: several innocent passing aircraft come crashing down into Broomie’s Woods, starting a major forest fire.

Actually bigg3469–had she known, Broomie would have turned that squirrel to casserole.

The Day the Squirrel went Berserk Down the back of Broomie’s shirt….

We have a kagillion squrrels in our neighborhool, we lose about one a week, and power too. Also, looks too me like Broomie got the major part of that Zap!

Lots of ways have been invented to keep squirrels out of birds’ nests; surely someone can figure out a way to keep them out of electrical transformers!

A more accurate presentation of squirrelitude would have been to have him enter Broomie’s dress from underneath, but that drawing might have been misinterpreted…

…and the poor squirrel would have said “REALLY bad hiding place!”

Sherlock, maybe the squirrel would thought “GREAT hiding place! Nobody’s been under here for YEARS!”

Broomie might have liked it, too. After all, “The Rabbit” is a very popular appliance, so maybe “The Squirrel” has similar abilities…

By the way, what’s that sticking out of Broomie’s head in the last panel? It looks like the bump cartoon characters get when they’ve been hit with a frying pan.

I think it’s just two split ends doing a tango.
