Has anybody else (besides me) noticed the man’s face on the trunk of the tree that Broomie is leaning on (panel at the left)?
It looks like some other character in Bloom county. I can imagine reading it and really enjoying it, but unfortunately I can also imagine reading it and finding it stuffingly boring.
Actually, Irwin’s suggestion is what I do when I want to laugh. We don’t need any more untalented people trying to become celebrities – there are too many Britneys and Parises in the world already.
Hmmm… What if BS and PH each auditioned on “Idol”? We could all get to see Simon giving them the verbal b!tch-slap they so richly deserve. 8)
There is an rather amazing recording (10 min.) of “sounds from Jupiter” on YouTube: some of the most haunting stuff you’ll ever hear. One of the viewers, taking on the role of a native Jovian, advised us strongly to stop violating Jovian copyright laws by downloading their music. Amused, I responded by saying, “Fine, if you promise to erase your copies of ‘We Are the World’ and all the other media we’ve broadcast into space.” The “Jovian” LOL’d and said, “Deal! While you’re at it, could you do something about ‘American Idol’? We’re about to commit planetary suicide!”
