Despite the travel utilities of the movie 2001 and tv shows like Stargate, I seriously doubt that alien lifeforms can achieve the speed to traverse distances of light years, much less time travel.
Regardless, there is life elsewhere in the universe. There are about 100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 stars estimated to be in the visible universe.

Professors Peter Ward & Donald Brownlee of the University of Washington in Seattle have written a book called ‘Rare Earth’ explaining why complex life is uncommon in the universe.

I believe in aliens, but they don’t believe in abducting me. We have evidence of aliens on Earth. People just won’t accept it. They demand the aliens pop down in a grand show and say here we are, and we have nothing better to do than travel the universe making alien lives easier and better. If you won’t give a homeless person money, why would aliens come down and give us clean energy, cures to diseases that exist only on Earth, etc?
Haven’t read Rare Earth, but even at the complex celluar level, given the likely existence of numerous stars with planets of the right mass in the right location, it is also both probable and likely that “uncommon” life exists elsewhere. The fact that it exists here is awesome.
Excuse me but a googolplex is 1 followed by a googol zeroes. 10 to the googol power. Way bigger than 10 to the 10,000 power. 10,000 is a wee puny exponent. Googolplex is even less useful than googol.
