on the distant planet of thamboria, people were always at war. soldier 1: you purple-skinned menace! soldier 2: you north-western monster! generations of bloodshed threatened the very species. leader: regrettable but necessary. the planet's leaders and scientists conceived a bold plan. scientist: wars are caused by an innate sense of belonging to one group, and thus a fear and hatred of other groups. we'll create a new generation of identical clones -- without nation or race! scientist 2: we'll even give them numbers instead of names. when the old generation died off and was replaced by the clone generation, there was peace. guy: after you, 214, 376, 717, 191. guy 2: thank you, 739, 974, 347, 988. until - guy: hey, you tookmy parking spot! guy 2: oh, you even numbers are all the same! which led to more regrettable but necessary wars. soldier 1: you even-numbered fanatic! soldier 2: you odd-numbered animal! so the next generation didn't even get numbers. guy: after you, you. guy 2: thank you, you. which worked for a while... but of course it didn't last long. guy: your xyngst is on my lawn! guy 2: oh, i know your type. you were hatched from a blue clone pod, weren't you? so it goes.
