Just an informal survey: Now that WoodEye has finally gotten here (Welcome back, WoodEye! ), does everybody still want me to post the link to go to the next strip at night, and the “Welcome, CDers” Fergus sign announcing the new day on the current strip?

In other words, can we all agree to meet each day on the new strip? Can we all find our way there, or would you all prefer that I continue to point the way?

I don’t want to keep doing something that may be unnecessary and annoying to people, so I’d appreciate some feedback. (I’m not complaining…just not sure it’s still necessary.)

I’ll be happy to continue…or not…depending on your preferences.

at the risk of being redundant, I can’t seem to find a quick way to access the latest CD comment section without wandering through a maze of clicks and comments with pictures that I have seen days ago, and then the next day, doing it all over again , except there is one more day to go through…..I mean, after a couple weeks, it would take a couple weeks to get through it all….

Fergus has chomped his way through many a mailman. I’m surprised Mel hasn’t had a visit from the Postmaster General. But than again, maybe Fergus chomped him too.

Is it that easy Perky?

(The following is my response to nighthawks and Perkycat earlier this morning at Pooch Café .)

I agree…the whole process is… cumbersome . I’m trying to come up with something that’s a little easier, especially for the folks that may not get there every single day (are there really such people?)

Anyway, it’s a difficult situation. Maybe, at least for the time being, you could bookmark, say…today’s cartoon (we’re on May 19, 1995 today). If you did that every Saturday, then the rest of the week, you could click the little red arrow at the upper right corner by the tiny calendar, where Perkycat instructed, and count off to the current day.

I’ve been leaving the same flashing Fergus and Mel link to the next page at the bottom of each page, and I’ve been identifying what day it is at the top of each page. If anyone has a better, more efficient way to do this, I am absolutely open to suggestions.

As it is, I’ve been falling asleep in my computer chair every night , waiting until it’s late enough to finally put the link in….then, I can toddle off to bed, secure in the knowledge that CDers will find their way to the next strip for another day.

This is the link to look for at the bottom of the comments (so, at least you don’t have to read all the way through the comments if you don’t feel like it).
