With everything that happened around Christmas to her friends and folks when she was growing up, you’d think Clovia would be a bit more sympathetic. This is SO out of character for her. When did the “grinch” gene kick in?? Where are those three ghosts when you need them??

Insurance? Who has insurance these days? I’m betting Clovia will get over it and spend her money on them too.

Clovia was startled, and said the first thing that came into her mind. She will want to help that mom and kid. That is, unless she thinks Slim is the victim of a scam.

Let’s give Clovia some credit, Slim could have at least discussed it with her first.

If he was a soldier in Iraq he had an SGLI policy worth 100’s of thousands of dollars. Anyone who has spent five minutes in the military would have one. Momma should be doing allright, financially. Who knows what else could have gone wrong though. Being a widow is bad enough without being one without any money.

im confused is he dressing or undressing? in the first panel he is dressed, but in the last it looks as if he is putting his jacked on…. ikd.

I’m sure he’s undressing; Scancarelli just made a boo-boo in panel 3.
