You are correct. Kids need ballance. A mom to shelter them and protect them. A Dad to encourage them to strive forward without fear to reach their potential. It’s very hard for one parent to do both jobs. I really feel for all the single parents out their trying to do a very tough job, in most cases without support from the other parent. I wish you well. I don’t think I could do that job alone. I thank God every day for my wife.

I’m the one who tells our 2YO daughter to be careful — but my wife & I both praise her for trying new things. How messed up is that?
